Temperature/Humidity/Vibration Combined Environmental Test

Release time:2020-12-23 Click amount: 2615

The combined environmental test refers to the test combining three environmental factors, which are temperature, humidity and vibration. In order to obtain explicit results in a relatively short period of time, we can increase the severity level of the environmental conditions. The evaluation can be carried out in a short period of time by exposing the specimen to a certain range of simulated environmental parameters controlled in the laboratory. Therefore, it is possible to estimate a test result that is close to the reality by applying similar environmental conditions. The combination of temperature, humidity and vibration occurs especially in the fields of motor and rail transit.

The combined test is to investigate to what extent equipment or components are affected by the climate and dynamics factors. Compared with single factor effect, the combined environmental test can more truly reflect the adaptability of electrical and electronic products to the changes of temperature, humidity and vibration during transportation and actual use. The test can expose the defects of the product by checking their electrical properties, mechanical properties or other physical changes.

Test method: Normally, we use the combined environmental test system. Fix the test box on the moveable base, move it to cover the surface of the electromagnetic vibrator, and fix the test specimen with the vibration clamps. Thermally isolate the vibration table and the test box, and then carry out the experiment.

Test standard: GB/T 2423.35, IEC 60068-2-53 and so on.

Test conditions: Test parameters include temperature, low temperature, dry heat, temperature change, vibration type, temperature exposure time, vibration duration, number of shocks, shock repetition time, axial direction of vibration or shock, working state, etc..

IEC Standard-compliant Comprehensive Test

Test equipment: We have purchased a full set of the combined environmental test system, including the SUSHI 1T electromagnetic vibrator and the supporting test chamber. The equipment can be used separately or used together for combined environmental tests.

Product improvement:

Besides almost all the advantages of single factor test, it also includes:

1.More realistic simulation test environment: A product is exposed in a combination of multiple stresses when it is actually put into use. In conventional tests, testers usually perform tests of each stress separately, which is quite different from the actual situation. For example, after the plastic structural parts are softened at high temperature, the superimposed vibration at this time will often cause more severe damage.

2.Saving test time: The combined environmental test can shorten the test time while exposing product defects as much as possible, and then shorten the development lifecycle.
