EU Concludes Anti-Subsidy Investigation on Chinese Electric Vehicles, Tariffs to Take Effect

On October 29, according to Gasgoo, the European Union announced that it has concluded its anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese electric vehicles and decided to impose final tariffs for five years on pure electric vehicles imported from China. BYD, Geely, and SAIC will face tariffs of 17.0%, 18.8%, and 35.3%, respectively. Other manufacturers that cooperated with the investigation will be subject to a 20.7% tariff, while those that did not cooperate will face a 35.3% tariff.
