European Commission plans to raise renewable energy target to 45% by 2030

Recently, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and unpredictable climate change will push the European Commission to accelerate its renewable energy target of 45% of its energy by 2030, up from 40% previously. The European Commission hopes that the installed capacity of wind power facilities and photovoltaic systems in EU countries will triple by 2030, which means 480 GW of wind power facilities and 420 GW of photovoltaic systems need to be installed.
