On March 3rd, the Implementation Plan for Carbon Peak in Urban and Rural Construction of Henan Province, issued by Henan Province, states that a new pattern for green development in urban-rural construction will take shape by 2025 to improve the level of green and low-carbon construction comprehensively, and promote green and low-carbon buildings. The green building standards will be fully implemented for new urban buildings by that time. Green buildings will account for 100% of new buildings, and new prefabricated buildings will account for 40% of new construction area in the province. Renovation of old residential communities built before the year of 2000 and needing renovation will be basically completed. As prefabricated building components are much heavier than that of traditional buildings, there will be an obvious increase in demand for large tower cranes.
