The GD880 Series High Performance Engineering Drive is a high-performance drive product developed by INVT for high-end applications. This series features both single and multi-drive topologies and is designed with a modular approach based on the DFX concept, integrating advanced control algorithms. The GD880 provides exceptional speed and torque control performance, high reliability, and high power density. It excels in installation, debugging, maintenance, and safety, making it widely applicable in the petroleum, port lifting, paper making, metallurgy, non-ferrous, marine engineering, and testing equipment industries, supporting the localization and upgrade of process industries and continuous production equipment.

The control system of the GD880 Series is composed of a DSP+FPGA+ARM tri-chip architecture. The DSP handles I/O, bus, encoder signals, and motor algorithms to ensure high efficiency; the ARM is responsible for network, clock, and storage functions to ensure real-time operation, while the FPGA manages hardware interfaces and dynamic protection. The three chips exchange data through a high-speed bus, providing high-speed and precise loop control calculations and waveform control to ensure the drive system has excellent dynamic response and control performance. This highly efficient, collaborative "multi-core" control system drives and controls inverter/variable frequency devices, feedback rectifier units, and active rectifier units, adapting to more complex application scenarios.

In the metallurgy industry, the GD880 is particularly suitable for high-speed wire rod and strip steel hot rolling equipment, cold rolling main machines, pickling lines, annealing lines, and other equipment. In the petroleum sector, the GD880 meets the electric drive needs of fully electric oil drilling rigs, large workover rigs, and other large petroleum machinery equipment. Additionally, the GD880 holds significant application value in the combined paper-making equipment, port machinery, large lifting equipment, oil and gas transportation, and mining conveyor sectors.

The GD880 Series products are characterized by several outstanding features:

Flexibility and Ease of Use: The modular, building-block design makes engineering integration more efficient and convenient. It has a high power density that saves cabinet space, rich expansion interfaces, and supports various protective optional components. Seamless connection to third-party PLCs and commissioning guides, along with free function blocks, simplify debugging and applications.

High Performance: The GD880 excels in speed precision and torque precision, achieving open-loop zero-speed hover and 0 Hz 150% torque output. Master-slave control response is achieved within milliseconds, making it particularly suitable for various complex working conditions.

Stability and Reliability: The product adheres to ten-year hardware quality standards, employs fault classification and hierarchy technology, and ensures electrical isolation between control and power units, maintaining superior EMC performance. Additionally, modular design and high interchangeability of spare parts effectively reduce spare parts inventory and downtime.

Communication Assurance: Equipped with 24V auxiliary power supply, the GD880 stays online at all times and has communication redundancy features, enhancing the reliability of process control.

Convenient Debugging: The standard LCD display and Ethernet interface support upper computer function flowcharts and free programming. The built-in fault black box function and simulation operation feature make debugging more accurate and faster without the need for secondary fault occurrence and allowing custom key data recording for precise fault analysis.

As a leader in the domestic high-end drive field, the GD880 Series High Performance Engineering Drive by INVT has gained widespread recognition both inside and outside the industry through advanced drive control algorithms and innovative designs. Its superior performance and flexibility have propelled the intelligent and efficient development of multiple industries.
