On December 15, Tianjin JEVE, a lithium-ion battery maker, announces the suspension of production from December 1st, following battery companies like Panasonic Battery (Shenyang) Factory and Houneng Co., Ltd., according to the China Association of Industry and Technology Innovation. In the recent 2 years, the influx of many manufacturers into the battery industry results in intensifying competition and structural overcapacity. With many battery companies suspending production, it is expected that the industry will enter a period of adjustment to reduce inventory and production capacity.
