INVT has partnered with Nanjing University to establish the Nanjing University-INVT Joint Laboratory for Industrial Sensors and Precision Drive Technology (referred to as the "Joint Laboratory"). The grand unveiling ceremony was held on December 5, 2024, marking a significant step forward in technological innovation and industry-academia collaboration.
On the day of the event, Mr. Yin Xiaoyong, Vice President of INVT's Industrial Automation Business Group, Mr. Fan Nian, Director of the Drive Product Development Department, Mr. Chen Qian, Deputy Secretary of the Party and Work Committee of Nanjing University's Suzhou campus, and Professor Cao Wenwu, Director of the Acoustics Materials and Applications Center, were among the distinguished leaders in attendance.
Secretary Chen Qian welcomed the guests and introduced the university's educational features and strengths. He noted that Nanjing University has long been dedicated to deep academic exploration and social responsibility. Partnering with INVT to build the Joint Laboratory exemplifies the university’s strategy for integrating research, education, and industry. Both parties will combine their strengths to overcome critical industry challenges and infuse continuous intellectual energy into the overall upgrade and sustainable development of the industry.
Mr. Yin Xiaoyong congratulated everyone on the success of the Joint Laboratory's establishment. He emphasized INVT’s commitment to research and technological innovation, quoting, “When we harness collective strength, we are invincible; when we use collective wisdom, we are fearless.” This collaboration will leverage each partner’s strengths, achieving integration of industry, research, and education, and accelerating the industrialization of innovative industrial sensor and precision drive technologies.
A signing ceremony also took place during the event, where Mr. Fan Nian, Director of the Drive Product Development Department, and Professor Cao Wenwu signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement for the Joint Laboratory. They stated, “This signing marks a new phase in our industry-university collaboration. We will expand our cooperation in areas such as technology, policy, lab construction, and talent development, joining forces to contribute our knowledge and energy to the growth of the industrial automation sector.”
Following the signing, Mr. Yin Xiaoyong and Secretary Chen Qian jointly unveiled the Joint Laboratory. The applause from the audience was warm, and the atmosphere was solemn and celebratory.
This collaboration will focus on the innovative applications of piezoelectric materials in industrial sensing and control. Building on the research team's substantial R&D foundation in advanced piezoelectric materials, high-performance ultrasonic transducers, and ultrasonic technologies, both sides will advance research in key areas, including industrial sensors (temperature, humidity, position sensors), precision micro-drives, and ultrasonic transducers. The aim is to achieve breakthroughs in proprietary technologies, accelerating the deep transformation and widespread application of scientific research.
Finally, INVT arranged for Secretary Chen Qian, Professor Cao Wenwu, and other leaders and students to tour the exhibition hall and laboratory. The application of INVT products in the laboratory was highlighted, fostering a deeper understanding and trust between the two parties and laying a strong foundation for future collaboration.
The establishment of the Joint Laboratory represents the deep integration of science, technology, and industry, providing a powerful boost to the development of the industrial sensor and precision drive technology fields. Through their collaboration, INVT and Nanjing University aim to achieve more groundbreaking results, driving innovation and progress in industrial automation and opening a new chapter in industry-university cooperation.
INVT remains committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and contributing to national educational development.
