1. Project Back Ground
In 2023, INVT Local India project team offered a solution to our largest Cement partner, for a new FL Smith EPC Kiln Main drive project. This is the first INVT MV VFD project used in Cement kiln load. Which is one mile stone and stands for China VFD brand can be used in key processes and extreme 250% overload ability heavy-duty sector.
2. Cement Process introduction
* Cement process flow chart is as below:
* And the cement process description is as follows:
1. Crushing and Pre-homogenization
Crush all the material like limestone, clay, iron ore and coal, and then pre-homogenization
2. Raw material preparation
Prepare the raw materials: fuel, clinker, mixture and gypsum
3. Raw material homogenizing
4. Preheating and calcinations
5. Formation of cement clinker
6. Cement grinding
Cement grinding is the last and power-consuming step in cement process, which will grind cement clinker to proper grain size.
7. Cement packaging
The cement is delivered in two ways of bag and bulk.

The total capacity is 10000 T/day. There are 2 motors drive the kiln at same time. The 1850kW Motors, INVT proposed 4000KVA MVD drive. To fullfil the high requirements of kiln start torque.
10000 ton/day cement line, with 2 nos 4000kva MV VFD master-slave sychrouns control
INVT use 2 nos 11KV Medium Voltage VFD for Master – slave drive run.

3. Conclusion
As a well-known cement manufacturer in India, the cement plant has successfully first time use INVT medium voltage VFD into Kiln load main drive, with master slave control. Now the Plant is smoothly running, INVT MV VFD shares the torque and running amp exactly same, both Motors are running smoothly and exactly same RPM, extend Motor life, reduce the grid power current impact. Increase system efficiency, Client is satisfied and happy with INVT brand VFD performance.
