Abstract:

This paper mainly presents Ball Mill Application used INVT GD200A series drives with simple PLC and HMI operation to complete the process of the ceramic industries. In this project total 4 ball mills installed with GD200A drives and some small rating drive used for the storage silo’s stirrer and some conveyors process.

Keywords: GD200A, Ball mill, ceramic industries, silos, tiles etc.

1. Introduction

The major section of this Application details, Ball mill, Automation system and process.
* Application introduction: The ball mill used in ceramic industry and internal structure of the hollow cylindrical shell rotating around a horizontal axis. The ball mill is filled with grinding balls and raw materials to be grind. Ball mill is widely used for the dry type or wet type grinding of all kinds of ores and other grindable materials in cement, silicate product, new building material, refractory, fertilizer, black and non-ferrous metals, and glass ceramic industry.

* Ball mill: In this section GD200A drives used 315kW and 160kW drives for the grinding process. Each ball mill have individual drive and material feed as per capacity and fine power output from ball mill.

* Storage tank: Fine powder output from ball mill storage in silos and stirrer use for material continue movements in storage tank otherwise material will be hard.

* Automation system: Simple automation system used in these type of process industries. Here major role of ball mill main motor and this motor control through GD200A drives.

* Process: In ceramic industries raw material used like silica, sand, quartz etc. to made fine powder and make pottery, dishes, bricks, and tiles etc.

4. Advantages and benefits
* In old system ball mills rotate with star-delta connection and in new system drives installed. The power consumption decreases and smooth start-stop operation executed.
* This solution is cost effective and easily we can implement where cost issue compares to other competitors.
* System stability as standard and maintenance cost decreases.
* Drive operation smoothly control from digital terminals.
* The major advance of drive use in ball mill is the power consumptions decreases.

5. Conclusion
As per study and application execution, these industries multiple type of machines for different types of process execution. We achieved result through implementation of simple cost-effective model of GD200A series. This application very useful for small industries as well as large industrial process.

6. Future Scope

In this application we executed our system with GD200A series drives in main ball mill and other peripheral devices. These types of application are popular and we provide best cost-effective solutions. This type of system we can implement in many industries.
