On December 4, China's Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement prohibiting the export of dual-use items (sensitive items with both military and civilian applications and precursor chemicals) to U.S. military users or for military purposes. Additionally, it stated that, in principle, export licenses for dual-use items related to gallium, germanium, antimony, and superhard materials to the U.S. would not be granted. Stricter reviews will also be implemented for the export of graphite dual-use items to the U.S. Gallium, germanium, and antimony are essential for the production of high-end military products and play a significant role in the industry.
