South Korea to Launch a $19 Billion Support Package for Chip Industry in July

On June 26, according to Zhitong Financial Network, South Korea will launch a $19 billion financial support program to provide preferential loans and investment funds to chip manufacturers from July. In addition, Korea will extend tax breaks for eligible businesses for three years and consider expanding the scope of benefits to manufacturers of chip materials, components and equipment. With policy support, it is expected to further boost the development of Korea's chip industry and enhance its international competitiveness.
