On October 21, according to Sobi Solar, the U.S. Department of Commerce is initiating a changed circumstances review to consider partially removing the anti-dumping tariffs on crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from Taiwan. This includes specific types of small, low-power, off-grid crystalline silicon solar cells, as well as modules made from crystalline silicon solar cells. The review targets non-mainstream products, and while the impact is expected to be limited, it also signals a softening of the U.S. tariff policy on Chinese solar products.
