On October 14, according to Global Textile Network, Vietnam's textile and garment industry has recently seen a surge in foreign direct investment (FDI) projects. Companies such as Singapore's SANBANG Textile and Japan's TORAY Textile, a subsidiary of TORAY Industries, have each invested nearly $30 million and $203 million, respectively, to build textile and garment industrial parks and textile dyeing factories in Vietnam’s South Dong Province. According to statistics, there are currently about 3,500 FDI projects in Vietnam's textile sector, with a total investment of $37 billion.
