As the northern starting point of China's “One Belt, One Road” initiative, Dandong Port is located at the northernmost tip of China's 10,000-mile sea border, and is a natural unfreezing port. In recent years, as the global environmental protection awareness has increased, green port construction has become a trend in the development of ports worldwide, and Dandong Port is also actively promoting the construction of green ports to move towards a more environmentally friendly and efficient future! In this process, INVT's reliable shore power technology has helped Dandong Port realize its energy saving and emission reduction goals and pushed the green port construction to a new high!
Shore power technology: zero fuel consumption at source
Shore power refers to the fact that during berthing and docking, the ship will turn off its own diesel power generation equipment and use the clean electric energy provided by the port to supply power to the shipboard system. This form of “electricity instead of oil” realizes zero fuel consumption from the source and effectively reduces carbon emissions. Currently, there are three main types of shore power solutions: direct medium voltage on-board solutions, high - low - medium voltage on-board solutions and direct low-voltage on-board solutions. In Dandong Port, INVT's multiple medium voltage shore power solutions are playing an important role in bulk grain, bulk cargo, ore and coal terminals!
“Green ”Power: GD5000 Medium Voltage Shore Power Solution
According to the operational requirements of the Dandong Port site, INVT provided Dandong Port with a shore power solution - GD5000 medium voltage VFD, which has obvious energy-saving advantages, occupies a small space, is easy to maintain and has many other advantages.
* The input voltage is 10KV, and the output must be full-loaded when the voltage fluctuates from -10% to +10% of the grid.
* The variable frequency power supply can regulate the voltage transient and suppress the voltage disturbance of the power grid.
* The total harmonic distortion of output voltage THD≤3%, and the output harmonic currents≤standard requirements.
* The output harmonic voltage and harmonic current content of the inverter power supply should be better than the technical requirements of GB/T14549 “Power Quality Public Grid Harmonics”, the total harmonic distortion of the output voltage THD ≤ 3%, and the output harmonic currents of each order ≤ the standard requirements.
* Ensure the consistency of phase sequence and line system of ship power and shore power, when the phase sequence is not consistent, the inverter power supply is required to have one-key phase sequence switching technology.
* The output voltage and frequency (6.6KV/60HZ, 6KV/50HZ) of the inverter power supply can be selected through the change-over switch or man-machine operation interface.
* The output voltage of the frequency conversion power supply is closed-loop, and the voltage closed-loop control must be carried out on the output side of the isolation transformer to ensure the stability of the output voltage.
After Dandong Port adopted INVT's multiple high-voltage shore power supply directly on board, the ship's auxiliary power supply has been revolutionized, which not only can obtain clean power directly from the port when berthing, but also effectively avoids the voltage loss problems caused by the traditional low-voltage power supply program, achieving zero fuel consumption and zero emission, which greatly improves the quality of the ship's working environment during the period of the ship's presence in the port.
Continuously contributing to the construction of green ports
According to the calculation of port utilization rate and total ship load power, after adopting INVT's shore power supply, the total annual flue gas emission of Dandong Port has been significantly reduced, which not only successfully realizes energy saving and emission reduction, but also breaks the record of INVISION's application in the field of shore power. In addition, INVT solutions have fully covered domestic container and bulk terminals, and also established benchmark performance in overseas container and bulk terminals such as Vietnam, Myanmar, Qatar and Mexico, taking a solid step forward in the construction of green ports.
In the future, INVT will continue to be committed to green technology innovation, help more ports and enterprises realize sustainable development, and contribute more to the global environmental protection cause!
