1. Background

With the sustained and rapid development of China's economy, the pace of port construction has continued to accelerate, and the number and density of ships docking at ports have increased significantly. Most ships, especially oil tankers and container ships, use fuel-fired power generation to meet the ships' electricity needs when docked. This consumes a lot of fuel, causing a large amount of exhaust gas and particulate matter emissions, thereby causing serious environmental pollution. As a result, shore power supplies came into being.

2. INVT solution

2.1 Output closed-loop control

The system has AVR (automatic voltage regulation) function, and adds feed-forward compensation for impact load applications, fast response speed, high precision, and stable output in the case of frequent bus voltage fluctuations or frequent load changes. Reverse power suppression is achieved through software algorithms, and there is no need to configure braking resistors or energy feedback devices. The system structure is simple and the cost is low.

2.2 Precise grid-connected control

The control system uses the independently developed "frequency-locked phase-locked" control technology, which can automatically identify the current input voltage format of the ship and has high frequency-phase synchronization accuracy. It has been widely used in large-capacity motor variable frequency soft starting situations and can fully realize impact-free switching between shore-based power supply and the ship's own auxiliary power supply, avoiding impact on other electrical equipment in the system.

3. Customer value

3.1 Low harmonics in input and output terminals

3.1.1 The input harmonics are small, and at rated load, THDi<2%.

3.1.2 The output voltage waveform is pure, close to a sine wave, THDu <2%.

Harmonic analysis

3.2 High efficiency and power factor
3.2.1 When the system is fully loaded, the power factor is ≥0.97.
3.2.2 When the system is fully loaded, the system efficiency is ≥96%.

3.3 Good frequency adaptability

It has the function of converting 50Hz power into 60Hz power, which can provide shore power to ships of different standards, with higher cost performance.

3.4 Energy saving and environmentally friendly
Compared with generators, it saves more than 20% energy and eliminates many inconveniences brought by generators, such as high noise, high operating costs, large losses, pollution, difficult maintenance, and the need for special management.

3.5 High reliability
In terms of function, it has stronger applicability and can monitor the operation of the power supply in real time. In terms of reliability and volume, the shore power supply has higher standards than ordinary variable frequency power supply. The module group adopts IGBT inverter technology, which has high reliability, small volume, significant savings in manufacturing materials, light weight, and easy movement. The structure is more compact, simple and beautiful.
